I have lived in Banyule for the best part of my life. I grew up in west Heidelberg and taught in the state primary educator for 20 Years. After which, I left teaching to work as a commercial artist. I worked as a preferred artist for Warner Bros. Under the business name "TOON CO" and created commercial illustrative and character art for the likes of, Warner Brothers, Disney, Cadbury Schweppes, Arnotts and The AFL. over the next thirteen years, I created characters such as The Brisbane Lion, The Sydney Swan and the Freemantle Docker's mascots as well as the mascot for the 2006 Commonwealth games ( "Karak") the "Tiny Teddies" and "Yoga gorilla among others.I closed the business in 2006 and returned to Secondary Education where I taught, Vis com. Illustration and design at Loyola College for 13 years prior to retiring. I have lived in Rosanna for 44 years.
