Jessica Pinney
Artist and PhD candidate
With nearly ten years of experience as a performer and artist, Jessica Pinney has produced art works exploring heightened experiences within immersive sound and land based art installations. Jessica is interested in art that highlights environments and encourages close attention to the way specific locations sound, whilst also considering the ecological, cultural, historical, and emotional importance of such sounds and landscapes.

Jessica has an MA in sound art from the London College of Communication, has exhibited and performed her work both nationally and internationally, and has most recently commenced her PhD candidature at RMIT’s School of Art. There, Jessica is researching the sounds and worlds of animals and individuals, and whether it is possible to extend the human perception and sensory abilities.
