Anna Farago
Artist
Anna Farago is a Melbourne artist and teacher. She is currently Artist in Residence at Darebin Parklands, Alphington. Her most recent solo exhibition was ‘Stitching Place’ in January 2016 at Montsalvat in Eltham. In 2015 she collaborated with members of Maroondah Handicrafts Inc for ‘A Crafted History: People and Place’ at ArtSpace, Realm, Maroondah City Council.

Anna has taught at Brighton Bay Art and Design Program, Elwood College, Upwey High School, Vermont and Orbost Secondary Colleges. Occasionally she also teaches workshops. In 2013 she ran a sewing workshop with young mums and mums-to-be in the Latrobe Valley through the Polygot 'Expecting Something' project. In 2014 and 2015 she taught kids workshops at Maroondah Art Gallery. In 2015 I taught 'Patchwork Pattern Play' & 'Hand-quilting' workshops at The Craft Sessions. In May and June 2016 I will be teaching 'Modern Hand-quilting' at Hawthorn Arts Centre.
