Ronak Taher
Artist
I am an Iranian-Australian artist born in 1984. I finished my bachelor of Graphic Design at the University of Tehran, and I also hold a Master of Illustration and Animation from the Azad University of Tehran. I am currently studying "Master of Media" at RMIT.
Since 2005, while concentrating on my art activities, I have been working as graphic designer and art director in different companies and teaching art in galleries and private art schools.
My last animation was screened in more than 15 countries worldwide and in 2013 I was celebrated as one of the 300 upcoming world talents in film industry at the "Berlin Film Festival".
My current collaborative film project is directing "LGBTI and Sport" short documentary for "Victorian Equal opportunity and Human Rights Commission".
I have exhibited my paintings and installations in 9 solo and group exhibitions, have also published 9 illustrative books with Iranian and European publishers.
