    ‘Map of Contemplation’ by Anna Farago is an installation of textile banner style artworks hung within the wetland islands of the Darebin Parklands. It builds upon Anna's recent Artist residency in the Parklands. The works have been made using fabric naturally dyed from flora gathered during the residency and with up-cycled clothing gifted to the artist by Parklands staff.

    Pinpoint: The Contemporary Art Fair : FESTIVAL, EXHIBITION, FREE

    Hatch Contemporary Arts Space opens its doors to present Pinpoint – The Banyule Contemporary Art Fair.
    This major exhibition will showcase an array of contemporary art produced by artists who are living or working in the city of Banyule. Bound by geographic locality and the networks which form our community, the exhibition presents a diverse range of artistic practice in the one space and is an exciting opportunity to experience the many mediums, themes and concepts which encompass contemporary art.

    Featuring: Rushdi Anwar, Anne Bennett, John Billan, Anna Farago, Brady Freeman, Irianna Kanellopoulou, Helen Macqueen, Jodi Wiley and Anthony Williams.

    Opening night: Tuesday 13 September, 6.00 pm - 8.00 pm
    Gallery hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 10.00 am - 5.00 pm

    In this workshop award winning ceramic artist Irianna Kanellopoulou will demonstrate the process of creating plaster moulds for slip-casting ceramic objects.  A fascinating workshop for anyone interested in learning about the incredibly detailed work that goes into making ceramics.
