    Call for Artists - Banyule Art Salon : EXHIBITION, CALL FOR ARTISTS

    This year, Banyule City Council is launching a new biennial Banyule Art Salon, an exhibition celebrating the many, varied artistic talents of all who live or work in Banyule.  Banyule Council recognises that there are many talented artists in our community, and have created this opportunity for all artists to be a part of a professionally-curated and programmed exhibition in the beautiful Hatch Contemporary Arts Space.

    All entries submitted will be exhibited with several prizes to be won!

    Entry Fee:  $30 per entry

    Entries open: Monday 4 April 2016

    Entries close: Tuesday 31 May 2016 at 5:00PM

    Call for entries: Art in Public Spaces Program : FESTIVAL, PERFORMANCE, CALL FOR ARTISTS

    Banyule City Council is seeking expressions of interest from artists to get involved in the Pinpoint Art in Public Spaces Program in July 2016.

    We looking for small art projects that are new (have not been seen in public before) and are original (created by the artist or group). These works will be one-off, ephemeral art experiences in public space.

    Contributing an idea to Art in Public Spaces is an excellent opportunity for exploring and/or developing a new idea and pushing the boundaries for art making and performance. Applicants are encouraged to suggest unusual and innovative sites in Banyule for their work.

    Works must be delivered between Friday 01 July and Sunday 10 July. Depending on the proposed nature of the work, applicants can nominate to have their work displayed for the duration of the program, or to nominate a preferred time and date to present their work.

    A fee of $1,000 will be paid to each successful project.


    Applications open Wednesday 06 April and close Monday 23 May 2016.

    Nhalinggu Bagung - Come Gather : EXHIBITION, FREE

    21 April - 4 June 2016 (gallery open Tuesday - Saturday) 10 am - 5 pm

    This exhibition will bring together and celebrate the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living, or are involved in community within Banyule. It will showcase the diversity of art and culture of Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, communicate the meaning of the different art forms from different countries, tell the stories of each country, and tell the stories of the artists' personal journeys.

    Banyule Grants Program Information Session : WORKSHOP, FORUM, FREE

    Applications for this year's Community Grants open on Monday 2nd May 2016.

    Council are offering two free grant information sessions on Wednesday 27 April.

    Sessions will be held at 2.00 pm and 7.00pm in Meeting Room 1 at Rosanna Customer Service Centre, 44 Turnham Ave, Rosanna.
