River of Plenty presents...
Home Truths is an exploration of the notion of home. Home as the physical, the domestic, and the everyday. The house we live in and our body we inhabit. Our sense of identity, belonging and be - longing. Home as an internal space, home as a healing journey, home as loss, conflict and emergence. Home as a place to return to and a place to run from. Home that holds and bears witness to all that is inside. Home that holds us: the womb, the room and the tomb. Home as a
place that holds memories and spirits of ancestors.
Taking place in a suburban house in outer Melbourne, Home Truths is a collection of interactive installation, performance, ceremony, dance, painting, sculpture, sound, conversation, workshop and soirée. Home Truths allows space for reflection, expression and connection to all those who choose to enter.
Be led down the garden path, to the chook shed, the bedroom and kitchen, to laugh...to experience interactive, installation-performances of sounds and objects and perhaps some torches.
Tickets are limited, follow the link to book now.
River of Plenty, founded by Fiona Haasz, is a Healing Centre, soon to be moving on from it’s “home”, hence this event is a form of farewell. Centred around Art therapy and the faith that creativity is a solid foundation for healing, the centre has been responsible for offering workshops and consultations including basket weaving, dance, percussion, art, creative meditation, pranic healing, bush flower essences and more.
