Weaving Workshops : WORKSHOP, FESTIVAL, FREE

    Spot Two

Artist Elizabeth West presents a community arts mapping project called Spots based in Montmorency.

The local community is invited to attend workshops to create woven spots from salvaged plastics. Workshops will be held on Saturday 25 June and Saturday 02 July, from 11.00 am - 2.00 pm.

Introductions and demonstrations will be held each hour at 11.00 am, 12.00 pm and 1.00 pm, though participants are welcome to stay for as long as they like.

Participants are invited to bring their own collections of plastics to be included in the artworks.

Elizabeth will then consult with community members to temporarily decorate the Montmorency area, focused around Were Street, highlighting spaces important to the local community.

This project has been funded by Banyule City Council's Pinpoint Art in Public Spaces project.
